Twilight New Moon Updates: Noot Seear is Heidi, Pattinson Interview

A couple of updates for you Twilighters out there, the first being the casting of Canadian supdermodel Noot Seear (pics below) as Heidi, a character described as a gorgeous “human bait” used by the vampires to lure victims to be fed on. Meanwhile, Robert Pattinson has said that “New Moon” will be extremely depressing. Hey, it is about vampires and teen angst, after all.

Noot Seear’s Heidi casting comes from E! Online, who says the beautiful Canadian product won the role over 90210’s AnnaLynne McCord. The Heidi character is described as “a ‘fisher’ who brings humans to the Volturi vampires to eat. She has ‘exceptional, unforgettable’ beauty, which includes stunning legs, long hair and violet eyes.”

Hey, if you gotta go, you mind as well go at the stunning long legs and violet eyes of Noot Seear, am I right?

Meanwhile, in an interview with Reuters, Robert Pattinson talks about “New Moon” and its depressing storyline:

“The book of ‘New Moon,’ the majority of it is incredibly depressing,” Pattinson told Reuters. “Obviously ‘Twilight’ was about finding first love and the difficulties of that, but ‘New Moon’ is really about loss and reconciliation, but the reconciliation isn’t completely full.”

“It’s a strange story to have for a market that, I guess, wants to see a love story,” he said.

“New Moon” is currently in production under director Chris Weitz. It’s scheduled for a November 2009 release.
